Initially developed by Tangem AG for their series of smart cards, mobile SDKs, and apps for blockchain applications, the standard is open to everyone without any encumbrance:

• The specs and documentation are being licensed under CC-BY and MIT
• The NFC-level APIs are being released into Public Domain or licensed under CC0
• All contributions to this standard come with an Apache-like patent license

The v0.1 open spec is in development and based on the internal Tangem specs v3 and v4.
